  Northeastern Newton County in southeastern Texas...

* Until 1015 PM CDT.

* At 522 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Additional rainfall amounts of
  2 to 4 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is
  ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...

expected to begin shortly.

At 358 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain across the warned area. At 3:56 PM MDT, significant street
flooding was reported in Hobbs.  The expected rainfall rate is 2 to
3 inches in 1 hour. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
         drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Hobbs, Humble City, Industrial Airpark and Lea County Regional
